1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to 592Markit.com ("the Platform"), operated by Andromeda Technologies ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
To use 592Markit.com, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old to create an account and sell items.
- Provide accurate, current information when registering.
- Have the legal capacity to enter binding contracts under the laws of Guyana.
- Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
Users under 18 may browse listings but may not post ads or enter into transactions.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use.
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent activity.
4. Listings & Seller Obligations
When posting a listing, you agree that:
- You own the item or are legally authorised to sell it.
- All descriptions, prices, and photos are accurate and not misleading.
- The item is legal to sell in Guyana and not on our Prohibited Items list.
- You will honour the advertised price and terms once a buyer agrees.
- You will respond to buyer inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- You will mark listings as sold or archive them once they are no longer available.
We do not guarantee that any listing will be viewed, sold, or generate inquiries.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use 592Markit.com to:
- Post false, misleading, or deceptive listings.
- Sell stolen property, counterfeits, or prohibited items.
- Harass, threaten, or defraud other users.
- Post duplicates, spam, or unrelated content.
- Circumvent our fees or systems.
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Platform.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Violate any law or third-party right.
6. Fees & Payments
Basic listing is free. Optional paid services include:
- Boosted listings — from GY$500 per boost, for increased visibility.
- Business subscriptions — Starter GY$5,000/mo, Pro GY$15,000/mo, Premium GY$35,000/mo.
- Banner advertising — subject to slot pricing.
All fees are quoted in Guyanese dollars (GYD) and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Payment is accepted via MMG, bank transfer, or cash as arranged with our team. Boosts and subscriptions are activated after we verify payment.
7. Our Role & Liability
592Markit.com is a platform that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction between users. We do not:
- Guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any item.
- Verify the accuracy of listings, user identities, or payment claims.
- Guarantee that a transaction will be completed.
To the fullest extent permitted by Guyanese law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from user transactions. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
8. Disputes
Disputes between buyers and sellers should be resolved directly between the parties. If needed, our team can help mediate informal complaints — see Disputes & Refunds.
We reserve the right to remove listings, suspend accounts, and ban users who repeatedly cause disputes or violate these Terms.
9. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms or our policies.
- Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
- Repeatedly generate complaints from other users.
You may delete your account at any time from your account page.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We will post the effective date at the top of this page.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Guyana.
