Andromeda Technologies ("we," "us," "our") operates 592Markit.com ("the Platform"), a marketplace connecting buyers and sellers across Guyana. We are the data controller for personal data collected through the Platform, as defined in Guyana's Data Protection Act 2023.

Account information
- Name (display name, full name)
- Email address
- Phone number and WhatsApp number
- Password (hashed, never stored in plain text)
- Region and town
- Profile photo (if provided)
Listing information
- Titles, descriptions, prices, categories of items you post
- Photos and images you upload
- Contact details you choose to display on listings
Usage information
- Pages visited, listings viewed, searches performed
- Device type, browser, and IP address
- Timestamps of actions
- Messages sent through the Platform (if messaging is enabled)
Payment information (paid features only)
- Amount and method of payment for boosts, subscriptions, or ads
- Reference numbers or proof-of-payment images you upload
- We do not store credit card or bank account numbers.
3. Why We Collect It
We process your data for the following purposes:
- To operate the Platform — create accounts, display listings, enable buyer-seller contact.
- To provide services — process boosts, subscriptions, and ad placements.
- To ensure safety — detect fraud, scams, spam, and abuse.
- To communicate — send account notifications, service updates, and (with consent) promotional messages.
- To comply with law — respond to lawful requests from Guyanese authorities.
- To improve — analyse usage patterns to make the Platform better.
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Other users — when you post a listing, the information you provide (name, contact, region, photos) is visible to buyers.
- Service providers — Supabase (database and file storage), Netlify (hosting), and email delivery services. These providers process data only on our instructions.
- Legal authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
5. How Long We Keep It
- Account data — while your account is active, and for up to 12 months after deletion for legal and fraud-prevention purposes.
- Listings — while active; archived or sold listings are kept until you delete them.
- Usage logs — up to 24 months.
- Payment records — 7 years, as required by Guyanese tax and accounting rules.
6. Your Rights
Under Guyana's Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing for direct marketing purposes.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with the relevant Guyanese authority.
